TREATMENT
Individual: As you address personal problems and situations, individual sessions provide the basis for positive change in your life. The main emphasis of individual sessions includes identifying life patterns that interfere with identification and promotion of unmet needs. In addition sessions will work to alter how your mind and body react to stressful situations by increasing healthier ways of thinking, practicing imagery exercises to promote emotional change, mode identification and support for life changes. Length of treatment can be limited to a brief consultation, short-term intensive therapy, and longer-term ongoing counseling.
Couples Therapy: This form of therapy focuses on careful attention to the dynamic of partner relationships to each other and how they can improve this dynamic through greater understanding and validation of their partner’s experiences and emotions. Couple sessions include identifying life patterns that interfere with identification and promotion of unmet needs. Sessions are conducted with both partners and can also be held individually.
Each of the above treatment types involves using extensive up-front questionnaires to focus the therapy. Throughout the therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral, Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic and Behavioral techniques are used to facilitate change.
